Credit Union members are reporting receiving a fraudulent text message purportedly from Financial Center. The content of the message is: "FCU ALERT: Your card is inactive. Please call 317-559-4165 or FC.COM" This is a fraudulent message. Do not release any personal information regarding your credit union account. Financial Center will never contact you via email, phone, or text message for your personal account information. Please forward any emails, text messages, or phone numbers that you believe are fraudulent to fraud@fcfcu.com. We apologize for this inconvenience, and thank you for being a valued Credit Union member.

The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) has approved Finance Center Federal Credit Union’s request to expand its community charter. The Credit Union is now able to serve persons who live, worship, work, regularly conduct business in, or attend school in the Indianapolis-Carmel, IN Metropolitan Statistical Area, consisting of Boone, Brown, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Morgan, Putnam and Shelby Counties. This move will allow the Credit Union to serve nearly 1.8 million consumers in the greater Indianapolis area.

The caller is asking for the member's full debit card number, the three digit code on the back of their card, the expiration date, and the member's Social Security number. Applications are being accepted for upcoming Director openings on the nine-member Board. Positions are filled in accordance with the bylaws of the Credit Union. In April 2012, three 3-year terms will expire. The three Board vacancies are open to any interested current member of the Credit Union who is in good standing and is the age of 18 or older. If you are interested in serving as a volunteer on the Board, you may apply by submitting (i) a cover letter and (ii) a personal resume. The cover letter must include a brief statement of your qualifications using each of the criteria listed below and a signed statement agreeing to undergo a background and credit check.
